The mailbox serves as the outdoor station of the door entry intercom. Front plate is fitted with two pushbuttons and an analog audio door phone adapter for 4+N and 5+N wire systems. 

Designed to be fitted into a wall, this recessed mailbox can be used when a through-the-wall solution is not possible.

Two letter slots and two mail retrieval doors are situated on the front panel.

The flush-mounted box is rectangular and has no incline. This makes it easy to plan for or even leave space for the recessed mailbox when the fence wall is built.

Special bespoke feature: laser-cut inscription

We will personalize the front plate of your mailbox with a laser-cut inscription of your choice: a house number, street name, company name or logo.

The cut-out inscription is protected from moisture by a white semi-opaque 3D insert.

The text on the mailbox can be backlit with LED strip lights. Available LED colours: warm white, cool white, blue, green, and red. Please contact us about LED backlight details when you order.

Please note that LED lights require a 12VDC power supply (not included).

The LED lights are constantly switched on as a default. On request the mailbox can be fitted with e.g. a twilight switch or a dimmer. Extra charge applies. See: related products.

We will email you a draft project of your mailbox custom front plate lettering design. You can email us back with any alterations, so that the final version meets your every demand. We will not process the order until we have received a response from you, approving the final front plate lettering design.

The manufacturing time on custom orders of personalized mailboxes is usually between 4 and 7 weeks. The lead time begins when you approve the final design of front plate lettering.

Integrated audio door entry intercom (door phone) adapter

We designed the mailbox to serve as the outdoor caller unit of a door entry audio system.

The front panel is fitted with two pushbuttons and a universal analog audio door phone adapter (with a microphone and loudspeaker), which together replace the traditional door entry caller station.

As this is a made-to-order product, it can be manufactured with any number of letter slots and pushbuttons. Ask for a quote.

What else do you need to create a complete audion door entry intercom system?

» Standard analog door entry intercom

The intercom adapter of the mailbox is compatible and works directly with all standard analog 4+N wire and 5+N wire door phone systems, e.g. Urmet.

To build a complete 5+N audio door entry kit you need to buy the following items separately:

• an analog amplifier & power supply for 4+N / 5+N wire system - e.g. Urmet 18A2, Elfon EWD-10/20
• two analog audio indoor stations for 4+N / 5+N wire system - e.g. Urmet Signo 1140/1
• (optionally) an electric strike with appropriate mounting accessories

What type of installation does a standard analog door entry intercom require?

For a two-family house (two users), the typical analog 5+N wire system described above requires an 9-wire cable at minimum.

Please note that extra wires are needed if you plan to use additional functions, e.g. open a second gate, power the LEDs lighting the house number.

Mailbox dimensions

Front plate size and flush-mounted backbox size and depth are determined individually based on customer-provided specification.

This mailbox is always made-to-order.

Materials used:

Bomap mailboxes are made with highest-quality materials and are weather and vandal resistant.

Materials used in the "stainless steel" finish:

• front plate: 2 mm thick brushed stainless steel
• letter flap: 0,8 mm thick brushed stainless steel

Materials used in the "powder coated" finish:

• front plate: 2 mm thick stainless steel, powder coated
• letter flap: aluminium, powder coated

Recessed flush-mounted mailbox features

Flush-mounted backbox

The backbox of a recessed mailbox is designed to be fitted into the wall. The box is vertical and has no incline.

The flush-mounted box depth is not adjustable. Please choose appropriate depth when ordering.

Front panel

The front plate has two letter slots covered with outward opening letter flaps. The letter slot apertures are fitted with anti-theft lips.

Front plate is fitted with two pushbuttons, microphone and loudspeaker - a 4+N/5+N-wire audio intercom (door phone) adapter.

Lockable rear mail collection door is situated below each letter slot. Each lock is supplied with two keys. Doors are fitted with clear PVC peepholes that allow you to check for mail at a glance.

Locks are situated on the left side of the door – door opens to the right. On request locks can be situated on the right side.

Available finish options

There are two main front and back plate finishes available: brushed stainless steel or stainless steel powder coated in a colour of your choice.

We offer a selection of RAL colors in our standard colour palette:

• RAL7024 graphite grey (fine textured, matte)
• RAL7016 anthracite grey (fine textured, matte)
• RAL9005 black (fine textured, matte)
• RAL9007 pearl grey (smooth finish)
• diamond anthracite grey (~DB703, with a diamond fine texture finish, matte)
• RAL9016 white (smooth finish)
• Quartz 2 sandy diamond (with a diamond fine texture finish, matte)
• Oxide 5 champagne diamond (with a diamond fine texture finish, matte)
• RAL1036 pearl gold (smooth finish)

You can also choose a different colour from the RAL palette to match your house colour scheme. This option is available at a surcharge. 

Please not that order completion date may vary depending on the colour - production time may be longer if a non-standard colour is chosen.
